The Incandescent Heart: Celebrating Our Lady of Guadalupe

A FREE online event with the author of Untie the Strong Woman

To honor the Feast Day of Guadalupe (on December 12), Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés invites you to The Incandescent Heart: an unforgettable evening of insights, stories, prayers, and praises in celebration of Our Lady to commemorate the anniversary of her mystical appearance in Mexico City—when she spoke through the frail, humble, and frightened Aztec Indian Don Diego to remind the world that love comes to all people.

According to Dr. Estés, Guadalupe appears to each soul on earth as one can best apprehend and embrace her, so that each soul is individually invited to be held and lifted by the tenderness of her motherly care.  On this winter eve “by the fireside,” and with much love, much levity, and in celebration of the holiday season, we will gather so that we may together converse with her and bask in the warmth and eternal light of her love.

In this free online event on Sunday December 11, 9–10 p.m. Eastern Time, Dr. Estés will immerse us in the atmosphere of the Blessed Mother, reminding us of her living presence in our lives. She will also help listeners prepare for the Feast Day of Guadalupe with special poems and prayers and teachings on how to create ofrendas,or offerings, to Our Lady.

Dr. Estés writes, “No matter what visage, no matter what part of the world, La Señora de Guadalupe brings her message of love and compassion, and her universal promise of help and protection to all humankind. In her name we are called to remember that we are all swirled in the mantle of her stars, surrounded by the scent of her living roses—that we are all spiritually protected and truly loved.  Our Lady grows her strongest roses in the earthy ground where she is most needed—amongst horns honking, ambulances careening, children crying out in joy or in pain, people groaning and dancing and making love. She is everywhere in the music of the cosmos.”

For this holiday season and for always, please join Dr. Estés in this celebration of The Incandescent Heart of the Blessed Mother. As Dr. Estés writes, “Our Lady will place us under her mantle for refuge, and give us that one thing the world so longs toward: the warmth of La Señora’s most compassionate touch and strong guidance about how to and which way to go, by the soul’s lights.”
